WHAT YOU VISIT
Ephesus - Meeting with your guide at the Izmir airport and drive to Selcuk. Visit the "House of Virgin Mary," her last abode at Mt. Solmissos. She was brought to this place by St. John for protection and is believed to have been taken from here into heaven.
Ephesus is one of the largest archeological site, for many Cristians the best-known building in Ephesus is the large Theater where a 1st century AD silversmith attempted to stir up a riot to get rid of Paul who was damaging his business of making images of Diana. (Sightseeing ; Marble Street, Odeon, Bouleterion, Temple of Hadrian, Agora, the Bath of Scholastica, Love house, Library of Celsus, Great Theatre, Harbour Street.) Lunch in a local restaurant with traditional Turkish foods.
Visit the St. John Basilica and the Temple of Artemis, "One of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World." Transfer to Izmir Airport for an evening flight back to Istanbul.
